A carpenter in Bareilly, a potter in Gorakhpur, a tailor in Kanpur and a barber in a small town. Their skills are passed down in families, but their tools are often old and their income is low. Uttar Pradesh’s Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana gives such traditional workers free skill training and a free modern toolkit, so they can work faster and earn more.
Many people confuse it with the central PM Vishwakarma Yojana. This guide explains the UP scheme clearly: who can apply, what you get, the documents, how to apply, and a side-by-side comparison with PM Vishwakarma.
