Kanya Sumangala Yojana 2027 ₹25,000 for Your Daughter in 6 Stages, and the Right Time to Apply for Each

Kanya Sumangala Yojana 2026

When a daughter is born in Uttar Pradesh, the state government promises the family ₹25,000 for her, paid in small parts from birth until she starts college. Many families still don’t claim the full amount. They apply once at birth and forget the later stages, or they miss a stage because they didn’t know it existed.

This guide is built around one simple question: “My daughter is this old. What can I apply for now?” We cover all 6 stages, who is eligible, the documents for each stage, how to fill the form on mksy.up.gov.in, and the mistakes that get forms rejected.

Kanya Sumangala Yojana Kya Hai?

It is a UP government scheme to support the birth, health and education of girls. Instead of one big payment, the money comes at six important moments in a girl’s life. Each payment needs its own application. The idea is simple: the family gets help exactly when costs rise, such as vaccination, school admission and college admission.

How Much Money at Each Stage (₹25,000 in Total)

Stage (category) When you apply Amount now Amount before April 2024
1. Birth After the girl is born (born on or after 1 April 2019) ₹5,000 ₹2,000
2. Vaccination After full vaccination within 1 year of birth ₹2,000 ₹1,000
3. Class 1 admission When she joins Class 1 ₹3,000 ₹2,000
4. Class 6 admission When she joins Class 6 ₹3,000 ₹2,000
5. Class 9 admission When she joins Class 9 ₹5,000 ₹3,000
6. Higher studies After passing 10th or 12th, when she joins graduation or a diploma of 2 years or more ₹7,000 ₹5,000
Total ₹25,000 ₹15,000

The biggest payments come at birth, Class 9 and college. Those are also the stages families most often miss, because years pass between them.
