The wait is finally over. After weeks of guesses on YouTube and WhatsApp, the date is now official: the PM Kisan 24th installment will be released on 30 October 2026. That is just one week away, and just before Diwali.
This is good news for crores of farmers. But every installment, lakhs of farmers still miss out because of one small problem: e-KYC not done, bank not linked with Aadhaar, or land seeding pending. This page tells you what is confirmed, and gives you a simple checklist so your ₹2,000 does not get stuck.

PM Kisan 24th Installment Date: What Is Confirmed
Here is what we know for sure, as of 23 October 2026:
- Date: The 24th installment will be released on 30 October 2026. The date was announced on PM Kisan’s official X (Twitter) handle.
- Amount: Each eligible farmer gets ₹2,000 by DBT, straight into the Aadhaar-linked bank account.
- Size: Reports say over ₹18,000 crore will go to over 9 crore farmers.
- CSC centres across the country plan to mark the day as “PM Kisan Utsav Diwas”.
What is not confirmed yet:
- The place of the event. Reports mention possible PM visits to Varanasi, Uttarakhand and Gujarat in the last week of October, but no venue has been officially announced.
- The exact time. Usually, the PM releases the money at a public event. Most farmers get the SMS the same day. For some, it can take a day or two to show in the account.
₹2,000 or ₹4,000?
Some videos say farmers will get ₹4,000 this time. The 24th installment is ₹2,000. You get more only if your old installments were stopped (for example, due to e-KYC) and the state has approved your record again. Then the pending money may come with it.
Why This Installment Is Special
In July 2026, the Union Cabinet approved continuing PM-KISAN for five more years, from 2026-27 to 2030-31, with an outlay of ₹3,15,614 crore. The benefit stays ₹6,000 a year in three installments of ₹2,000. The 24th installment is the first one released after this decision. So, there is no truth in rumours that the scheme is closing.

What the chart tells you: The number of farmers fell in the 21st installment, when ineligible names were removed after checking. It has been rising slowly since. If your name was removed, check your status now. There is still a week to fix problems before 30 October.
So far, more than ₹4.47 lakh crore has been sent to farmers in 23 installments since the scheme began in February 2019.

About Farmer ID: Farmer ID is needed for new registrations in the states where the Farmer Registry has started. Reports say this does not mean every old beneficiary must get one right away. Still, if your state has started it, getting your Farmer ID made is a good idea.

- Open the PM Kisan portal. To open it directly, Click Here.
- In Farmers Corner, click “Know Your Status”.
- Enter your registration number and the captcha.
- Click Get OTP and enter the OTP sent to your mobile.
- Check e-KYC, land seeding, Aadhaar-bank seeding and the installment details.
Don’t know your registration number? On the same page, click “Know your registration number”. Enter your mobile or Aadhaar number and the OTP, and the number will be shown.
After 30 October: Check the 24th installment row in Know Your Status. “FTO processed: Yes” means the money has been sent. You can also check your bank SMS or passbook.
