Every season, a farmer needs money before the crop is ready: for seeds, fertiliser, diesel, labour and sometimes for a sick animal. When that money comes from a local moneylender, the interest can eat half the profit. The Kisan Credit Card (KCC) exists so that farmers can borrow from a bank at a very low interest rate, as and when they need it.
Here is the part most farmers do not know: if you repay on time, the effective interest on a KCC crop loan can be as low as 4% a year.
This page explains KCC kaise banta hai, how to apply online and offline, where to download the form, how to do a status check online, the latest 2026 limits, and the special Uttarakhand interest-free option.
