Important: Many videos and websites say “everyone now gets ₹3,500”. That is not correct. The ₹3,500 rate is for people aged 80+ and persons with 80%+ disability. When a pensioner turns 80, make sure the office updates the age, so the higher amount starts.

• Permanent resident of Odisha.
• Family income up to ₹24,000 a year, or a BPL family (as per scheme rules).
• Not getting another government pension of the same type.
• Not a government employee or pensioner.

How to Apply Online

1. Open the SSEPD portal. To open it directly, Click Here.
2. Go to the pension / Madhu Babu Pension Yojana application section. The direct application page used by the department is on the SSEPD services portal; to open it, Click Here.
3. Fill in the applicant’s details, choose the category (elderly, widow, disability and so on), and enter the bank details.
4. Upload the documents.
5. Submit and note the application number.

How to Apply Offline (Most Common in Villages)

1. Get the application form from your Block Development Office (rural) or ULB / municipality office (urban). The form can also be downloaded from the SSEPD website.
2. Fill it in and attach self-attested copies of the documents.
3. Submit it at the Block / ULB office and take a receipt.
4. The Gram Panchayat / ward and the BDO / ULB verify the application.
5. After the sub-collector / sanctioning authority approves it, the pension starts.
