If you are a farmer, you may have heard this at the bank, at the CSC, or from the patwari: “Pehle Farmer ID banwao.” In many states, PM Kisan installments, crop insurance, KCC and other farm benefits are now being linked to one number: your Farmer ID.
A Farmer ID (Kisan Pehchan Patra) is a unique digital ID made under the government’s AgriStack programme. It connects your Aadhaar with your land records, so you do not have to prove again and again that the land is yours. By August 2026, more than 10.31 crore Farmer IDs had been created across India.
This page explains Farmer ID registration, how to download your Farmer ID card, what to do in Uttarakhand (UK), and gives a state-wise list of Farmer Registry portals.

- Co-owners of land can each register (as per state rules).
